Crime and Punishment

Crime and Punishment

in the past, the peasants almost got punished for most of the crimes there are even crimes in the past that are not considered as crimes now. for example, Witchcraft, Heresy, Nagging one's husband and working on Sundays. what mostly surprised me is that working on Sundays was a crime. the king used to scare people by hanging a gibbet so all peasants can be scared and imagine themselves in there so then they become good people and not commit any crimes. in the medieval ages they used punishment so they can either punish or a crime or to obtain information.

the most common punishments were shaming, fines, Mutilation or death. those kind of punishments were used for different things, fine was used for minor crimes, Shame was used if you get drunk, if you swear ad if you tell a lie. Mutilation as used if you steal, hunt on royal ground without permission and Death was if you treason or murder. in the medieval ages there were three ordeal types, fire, they burn an iron bar and the person if his hand starts healing then you are innocent, combat, noblemen fight to death and who ever wins is innocent and they use water, they are tied in a chair and put in the water and if they floated then they are guilty if they drown they are innocent which i think is unfair because on both ways they will die.

Health

Health

<------------ this is what they would actually do if a patient had ache in his arm.

in the medieval ages they didn't have strong Health products like nowadays. for example when we get an eye infection now, the doctor just gives us eye drops but before they get really dry poop and just blow it into the patients eyes so it can start tearing and becomes pure. doctors before didn't have much knowledge at all but the Arabian doctors have more knowledge than the European doctors.for example i know a story that there was a person that his leg hurt and the Arabian doctor put something on his leg and it cured it but instead the European doctor disagreed with the Arabian doctor and said 'your leg has to be cut off' the patient got scared but the doctor cut it moreover he died which is the most proof that the Arabian doctors have more knowledge then later on the Arabian doctors started teaching the European doctors in addition, the Europeans became better doctors after learning.

Advertising :)

Today in this video i recognized they used a lot of good advertising tricks. Such as in the sponge bob episode hey they put the Illuminati symbol but it was camouflaging. The most stupid advertisement was the MacDonalds sign that looked like a huge penis, i mean if little kids were watching that ad they would stop eating Macdondals. The advertisements also used techniques such as Subliminal messages. Subliminal messages are messages that you not supposed to realize but secretly that message goes in your head without you noticing. Subliminal messaging is a little bit like brain washing. Thanks Bye...

Subliminal Messaging!

I learnt that people put subliminal messages in adds and movies. The first thing i realised is that on the spongebob ad they had the Illuminati eye. The people making these subliminal messages try not to make it to obvious. But when you notice that there is a subliminal you keep your eye on that for the rest of the time.

A Personal Review of The Future of Us!

"I loved The Future of Us. It was fun and hilarious to read about the 1990s and the fact characters of the book made comments like "what's a blog" and "Oh my god i have computer in my car!" when seeing the future. The book made me laugh out loud at times. The ending was a bit lame but I'm generally a lover of happy endings and I can't imagine the book ending without the two main characters ending up together! Having said that, my friend let her 13 year old daughter read it. I think this is totally inappropriate! The book has references to teenage pregnancy (Emma discovered on Facebook that her best friend Kellan got pregnant at 16!, mature relationships (the scene between Emma and her first boyfriend - I forget his name - on the park bench, and homosexuality (Josh discovers his brother is gay on Facebook). Thirteen year old kids are not ready and mature enough to read and understand these kind of issues. This book should be restricted to older teens (16+).

I think that a opposite gender friendship is good and bad. But you shouldn't be best friends because sometimes it gets really awkward when your talking to them. Sometimes if you want to ruin your friendnship if one person likes you and you only like them as a friend.
